2012: A Year to Remember

2012 saw the completion of our largest and most complicated frame to date, the Car Cathedral near Houston, TX. A 20,000 square foot event center and personal car collection museum, the Car Cathedral draws on the gothic tradition for its architectural inspiration.

The Camp Lucy Wedding Center frame is now completely erected and the process of drying in the structure continues as we speak. We look forward to an August of 2013 completion! This cruciform frame design with a cathedral ceiling will be the perfect, majestic open space for celebration.

The frame (Harrington) for this home in the Bastrop area was designed in-house. It features a truss design based on a photo of an elegant, centuries-old frame the owner took while in Europe on vacation. The home is a hybrid, with timber framing in the great room and kitchen and conventional framing in other parts of the home.

The Urban Farmhouse was a great opportunity to work with a different aesthetic in timber design. Adding the perfect rustic warmth to a contemporary home, the timber accents in this house feature the versatility of timber in any space.

The Llano Pergola was a backyard addition to an existing house that offers wonderful shade for enjoying the upcoming spring weather. Designed on an unconventional, curved foundation, we worked with the homeowners to ensure the look and feel was perfect for their home.
